Wayne County social visitation

• Social visits are conducted through non-contact video.
• Visitors must generally be at least 17 years old.
• An acceptable photo ID is required.
• One social video visit per week may last up to 30 minutes.
• Visitors may use the ADF Visitation Center or an approved personal device.
• Remote personal visits are controlled by housing-unit access and facility schedules.

Wayne County check-in and hours

The public video visitation suite is on the first floor of the Wayne County Criminal Justice Center Administration Building.

• Public suite hours: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
• The public suite is closed on holidays and weekends.
• The county also publishes ADF social windows of 8 a.m.–2 p.m. and 4 p.m.–9 p.m.
• Actual available times are controlled by the portal and housing schedule.
• Visitors must present valid government-issued photo identification.

Wayne County prohibited items

Electronic devices, tobacco items, lighters, matches, weapons and any item considered a facility security risk are prohibited in the ADF visitation area. Staff cannot hold prohibited electronics for visitors.

Oakland visitor limit

One adult and one child may participate in a visit. When a family has multiple children, only one child can participate at a time. Children cannot be left unattended in the onsite waiting area.

Oakland identification

The adult visitor must have a current driver’s license, state ID or passport. Only the person registered for the appointment may conduct the visit.

Macomb social visitation rules

• Friends and family visits are conducted by video.
• Each inmate may receive two visits per week.
• Certain trustees may receive three weekly visits.
• Up to three visitors may participate in a visit.
• A visit lasts approximately 30 minutes.
• A visitor may visit up to five different inmates individually.
• Disruptive behavior may suspend or terminate privileges.

Macomb scheduling and cost

The first visit of the week is free. A fee applies to additional eligible visits.

1. Register at least 24 hours before the visit.
2. Do not schedule more than two weeks in advance.
3. Select the correct inmate and facility.
4. Review whether the visit is the free weekly session or a paid visit.
5. Save the confirmation and support number.

Kent County onsite hours

• Monday–Sunday: 8 a.m.–11 a.m.

• Visits may be delayed or canceled during other facility lockdowns.

• Remote access remains subject to inmate availability and housing operations.

Kent visitor age and number

Adult visitors must be at least 18 with valid photo ID. A child under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. A maximum of two visitors may participate, and a child counts toward that limit.

On-demand visits

An on-demand visit does not require an advance reservation but depends on availability. These visits last up to 15 minutes and do not guarantee a particular start time.

Prepare before adding a child

• Confirm whether minors are allowed for the inmate’s classification.
• Ask whether a birth certificate, school ID or guardianship document is required.
• Confirm whether the accompanying adult must be a parent or legal guardian.
• Add the child to the scheduled visit when required.
• Do not bring an unregistered child and expect staff to modify the visit at check-in.

Supervision rules

Children must remain supervised in the lobby and throughout the visit. Running, shouting, leaving the camera frame or disruptive behavior can end the session. Do not leave another child alone in a vehicle or jail waiting area.

Concern about the inmate

1. Call the jail’s published inmate-information number.
2. Ask for the shift supervisor, medical unit or mental-health team.
3. Provide the inmate’s full name, ID and housing location.
4. Explain the immediate risk, diagnosis or medication concern.
5. Give a professional contact who can verify medical information.
6. Call 911 for an active emergency outside the jail.

Death or critical family illness

1. Call the facility—not the visitation vendor.
2. Ask whether a verified emergency message can be delivered.
3. Provide a hospital, hospice, police, clergy or funeral-home number.
4. Ask whether chaplain or mental-health staff will notify the inmate.
5. Do not expect an automatic emergency visit or furlough.

A court order overrides a vendor connection

A no-contact order, personal protection order, temporary restraining order or bond condition can prohibit a visit even when the inmate and visitor approve the online connection.

Do not use another person’s account

Creating a false profile or appearing through another visitor’s camera may violate the court order, facility rules and vendor terms.
